Harvest advises Bostadskreditinstitutet Alma AB on application for authorization as a mortgage lender

Harvest has advised Bostadskreditinstitutet Alma AB on its application for license to conduct business as a mortgage lender. The license was granted by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority on November 22, 2018.
With the introduction of the Housing Credit Business Act in January 2017, a license is required for companies that are not credit institutions to issue and broker housing loans to consumers, which increases the competition on the mortgage market. Bostadskreditinstitutet Alma AB was founded in September 2017, with the purpose of offering simple and fairly priced mortgages to consumers in urban areas. The company plans to launch its services in 2019. The Harvest team comprised advokat/partner Amin Bell and advokat/senior associate Carl-Fredrik Hedengren.
